Hong Kong: Tam Mi with Sp Coy at Dills Corner and one rifle company on the border at Lo Wo. Later the Bn moved to Beas Stables on the edge of Fanling Golf Course and Tam Mi was taken over by the Gurkas40 Infantry Division

Due to go to Malaya but diverted on route to Hong Kong

Cyprus: Aghirda (HQ, Sp and one rifle company) the other three riifle companies were stationed at Lapitos, Kyrenia Castle and A/A

9 June 59: amalgamated with 1st Bn, The Royal Berkshire Regiment (Princess Charlotte of Wales's), to form 1st Bn, The Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment (Berkshire and Wiltshire)
