Palestine – 6 Airborne Division. 1 April RHQ 2nd Air-Landing Atk Regt RA redesignated RHQ 66th Airborne Atk Regt RA with 9, 29, 332 and 326 Btys from respectively reformed 102 Fld Bty, reformed 103 Fld Bty and 3 and 6 Airlanding Btys.

 

1948

Palestine – 6 Airborne Division. 9, 29, 332 and 326 Atk Btys. 12 Mar embarked on the Otranto at Haifa and sailed for UK and moved to Cambridge Bks, Woolwich. 29 Sept redesignated 66th Airborne Light Regt RA. 21 Oct 248 Bty (ex 87th AB Fld Regt) reformed. 15 Nov 332 and 336 Btys disbanded.

 

1949

England: Cambridge Bks, Woolwich with 9, 29, and 248 Btys.

 

1950

England: Cambridge Bks, Woolwich with 9, 29, and 248 Btys. 1 Feb 248 Bty redesignated 248 AB Atk Bty. 30 June RHQ S/A at Cambridge Bks, Woolwich, 9 and 29 Btys to 65th HAA Regt, 248 Bty later joined 61 Regiment.

1947

1 April RHQ 6th Field Regt RA at Park Hill Camp, Oswestry was redesignated RHQ 67th Training Regt RA with 165 and 155 Trg Btys from 69 and 74 Fld Btys, respectively. ‘B’ Bty of 112th RA Trg Regt also joined, shortly afterwards ‘B’ Bty replaced by 188 AAFC Bty (redes 1/4/47 from 77 Bty of 77/79 Bty) which became 188 Trg Bty. 165, 185 and 188 Trg Btys. 18/5/47 reduced to cadre.

 

1948

England: Park Hill Camp, Oswestry? Cadre only. 1 Feb reformed as 67th Regt RA (No 1 Selection Unit) with 165, 185 and 188 Trg Btys.

 

1949 - 1953

England: Birch Lines, Park Hill Camp, Oswestry with 165, 185 and 188 Trg Btys.

                               

1954

England: Birch Lines, Park Hill Camp, Oswestry with 165, 185 and 188 Trg Btys. 1 Dec 188 Bty S/A (resus as 188 Radar Bty 7/9/55, redes 188 Radar & SL Bty 3/2/56, redes 188 Radar Bty 19/5/56, S/A 31/5/60 to reform 160 Radar Bty of 57th HAA Regt, disb 1/1/62).

 

1955 - 1956

England: Birch Lines, Park Hill Camp, Oswestry with 165 and 185 Trg Btys.

 

1957

England: Birch Lines, Park Hill Camp, Oswestry with 165 and 185 Trg Btys. 1 Aug 165 & 185 Btys to 68th Selection Regt: RHQ disbanded.

1 April RHQ 18th Field Regt RA at Bangalore, India was redesignated RHQ 68th Field Regt RA with 148, 198 and 199 Fld Btys from 59, 93 and 52 Fld Btys, respectively. Oct moved from India to Wingate Lines, Park Hill Camp, Oswestry.

 

1948

England: Wingate Lines, Park Hill Camp, Oswestry with 148, 198 and 199 Fld Btys. 7 April 148 Bty to cadre. 30 April converted to 68th Regiment RA (No 2 Selection Unit) (AA) with 148/198 and 199 Trg Btys.

 

1949 - 1953

England: Wingate Lines, Park Hill Camp, Oswestry with 148/198 and 199 Trg Btys.

 

1954

Scotland: Redford Bks, Edinburgh with 100, 224 and 228 HAA Btys.

 

1955

Scotland: Redford Bks, Edinburgh with 100, 224 and 228 HAA Btys. 12 April converted at Edinburgh to 69th Medium Regt RA. 16 July RHQ and btys S/A to resus RHQ 21st Med Regt RA and 20,57 and 71 Med Btys, resp (100 Bty later in 48 Regt).
