Retained ‘K’ Field Bty RA, ‘C’ & ‘G’ Btys to 3rd & 4th Regts RHA respectively, ‘P’ Bty joined ex 4 RHA as ‘P’ Field Bty RA, ‘Q’ Bty joined ex 10th Field Regt RA. Moved to Cwrt-y-Gollen Camp, Crickhowell.

 

1959

Wales: Cwrt-y-Gollen Camp, Crickhowell with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys. Oct moved to Fanling and Dodwell's Ridge Camps, Hong Kong.

 

1960

Hong Kong: Fanling and Dodwell's Ridge Camps with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys.

 

1961

Hong Kong: Fanling and Dodwell's Ridge Camps with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys. Sept moved to Cachy Camp, Perham Down. 13 Nov retitled 5th Airportable Regiment Royal Artillery, equipped with 25 pdr/pack howitzer.

 

1962 - 1963

England: Cachy Camp, Perham Down with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys.

 

1964

England: Cachy Camp, Perham Down with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys. 18 Mar retitled 5th Light Regiment Royal Artillery. Aug moved to Mansergh Barracks, Gutersloh. 10 Aug retitled 5th Field Regiment Royal Artillery, equipped with 25 Pdr & 5.5 inch how.

 

1965

Germany: Mansergh Barracks, Gutersloh with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr & 5.5 inch how.

 

1966

Germany: Mansergh Barracks, Gutersloh with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr & 5.5 inch how. 31 Aug retitled 5th Light Regiment Royal Artillery?

 

1967 - 1968

Germany: Mansergh Barracks, Gutersloh with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys.

 

1969

Germany: Mansergh Barracks, Gutersloh with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys. July moved to Wing Bks, Bulford. 9 Aug btys now Light Btys.

 

1970

England: Wing Bks, Bulford with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys. 4 April to 27 Aug Northern Ireland Tour – Londonderry.

 

1971

England: Wing Bks, Bulford with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys. 20 Mar to 26 April Northern Ireland Tour – Londonderry. 16 Aug to 14 September Northern Ireland Tour – Ballykelly.

 

1972

England: Wing Bks, Bulford with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys. Feb 1972 - Northern Ireland?  Nov moved to Tofrek Bks (West), Hildesheim. 20 Nov retitled 5th Heavy Regiment Royal Artillery, equipped with M107, now had an ‘HQ’ Bty.

 

1973 - 1974

Germany: Tofrek Bks (West), Hildesheim with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys, equipped with M107.

 

1975

Germany: Tofrek Bks (West), Hildesheim with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys, equipped with M107. 6 Mar to 4 July NI Tour – Londonderry.

 

1976

Germany: Tofrek Bks (West), Hildesheim with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys, equipped with M107.

 

1977

Germany: Tofrek Bks (West), Hildesheim with ‘K’, ‘P’ and ‘Q’ Btys, equipped with M107. Jan 18 Bty joined the Regiment. 27 September moved to Armagh, Northern Ireland Tour.

 

1978

Northern Ireland: Armagh. 24 Jan returned to Tofrek Bks (West), Hildesheim with ‘K’, ‘P’, ‘Q’ and 18 Btys, equipped with M107.

 

1979

Germany: Tofrek Bks (West), Hildesheim with ‘K’, ‘P’, ‘Q’ and 18 Btys, equipped with M107.

 

1980

Germany: Tofrek Bks (West), Hildesheim with ‘K’, ‘P’, ‘Q’ and 18 Btys, equipped with M107. 15 May to 28 Sept NI Tour - Belfast (Ardoyne/City Centre).

 

1981 - 1983

Germany: West Riding Bks, Dortmund. ‘K’, ‘P’, 4/73 (Sphinx) and ‘Q/HQ’ Btys. Jan moved to Strensall with 4/73 (Sphinx) bty in Catterick. Sept moved into Marne Bks, Catterick. Nov to ? - Northern Ireland.

 

1995 - 1996

1997
