June/July formed at Canterbury and in August embarked for Hong Kong where it moved into a tented camp in the New Territories.

 

1950

Hong Kong: New Territories. 40th Divisional Signal Regiment and Hong Kong Signal Sqn were disbanded and Hong Kong Signal Regiment was formed.

Hong Kong. 1 September redesignated 27th Signal Regiment.
