1951

Malaya (Various Locations)/ Selarang Bks, Singapore with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr. April moved to Tripoli, Libya. Moved to Derna Camp, Homs, Libya. Nov moved to Canal Zone (Moascar, Geneifa, Tel-el-Kebir), Egypt.

 

1952

Egypt: Canal Zone (Moascar, Geneifa, Tel-el-Kebir) with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr, part of 1st Infantry Div.

 

1953 - 1954

Egypt: Canal Zone (Moascar, Geneifa, Tel-el-Kebir) with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr.

 

1955

Egypt: Canal Zone (Moascar, Geneifa, Tel-el-Kebir) with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr. Feb moved to Ross Bks, Folkstone.

 

1956 - 1957

England: Ross Bks, Folkstone with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr.

 

1958

England: Ross Bks, Folkstone with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr. June moved to Famagusta, Cyprus. Nov moved to Ross Bks, Folkstone/Shorncliffe.

 

1959

England: Ross Bks, Folkstone/Shorncliffe with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr. 1 Nov 159 Bty into S/A.

 

1960

England: Ross Bks, Folkstone/Shorncliffe with 16 and 17 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr. July moved to Terendak Camp, Malacca, Malaya.

 

1961

Malaya: Terendak Camp, Malacca with 16, and 17 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr. Joined 28th Commonwealth Bde.

 

1962

Malaya: Terendak Camp, Malacca with 16 and 17 Fld Btys, equipped with 25 Pdr. Part of 28th Commonwealth Bde. 1 Jan re-titled 26th Airportable Regiment RA, equipped with 105mm Pack Howitzer.

 

1963

Malaya: Terendak Camp, Malacca with 16 and 17 Fld Btys, equipped with 105mm Pack Howitzer. Part of 28th Commonwealth Bde. Jun 159 Bty resusitated. July moved to Horseshoe Bks, Shoeburyness. 1 Aug re-titled 26th Medium Regiment RA, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer.

 

1964

England: Horseshoe Bks, Shoeburyness with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer. Feb moved to Cyprus (Paphos area/Nicosia) from April UN duties. July moved back to Shoeburyness.

 

1965

England: Horseshoe Bks, Shoeburyness with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer. July or Dec moved to Campbell Bks, Hohne. 1 Dec re-titled 26th Field Regiment RA, equipped with Abbot.

 

1966 - 1970

Germany: Campbell Bks, Hohne with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with Abbot.

 

1971

Germany: Campbell Bks, Hohne with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with Abbot. Aug moved to Roberts Bks, Larkhill (Support Regiment). Aug 13 Bty ex 49th Field Regt RA joined the Regiment. Regt later had a HQ Bty.

 

1972 - 1973

England: Roberts Bks, Larkhill (Support Regiment) with 13, 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys.

 

1974

England: Roberts Bks, Larkhill with 13, 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys. Aug moved to West Riding Bks, Dortmund, equipped with M109 & M110. Aug 13 Bty moved to 19 Field Regiment RA.

 

1975

Germany: West Riding Bks, Dortmund with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109 & M110. 6 Aug - 4 Dec Northern Ireland Tour based at Long Kesh/Lurgan.

 

1976

Germany: West Riding Bks, Dortmund with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109 & M110.

 

1977

Germany: West Riding Bks, Dortmund with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109 & M110. 76 Bty joined the Regt. July-Aug BATUS in Canada. 29 Nov moved to Northern Ireland, based at Lurgan/Maze.

 

1978

Northern Ireland based at Lurgan/Maze. 31 Mar moved back to West Riding Bks, Dortmund with 16, 17, 76 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109 & M110.

 

1979 - 1981

Germany: West Riding Bks, Dortmund with 16, 17, 76 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109 & M110.

 

1982

Germany: West Riding Bks, Dortmund with 16, 17, 76 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109 & M110. 76 Bty moved to 39 Regt.

 

1983

Germany: West Riding Bks, Dortmund with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109 & M110.

 

1984

Germany: West Riding Bks, Dortmund with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109 & M110. Nov moved to Baker Bks, Thorney Island, equipped with FH 70

 

1985 - 1989

England: Baker Bks, Thorney Island with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with FH70. 

 

1990

England: Baker Bks, Thorney Island with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with FH70. April moved to Mansergh Bks, Gutersloh, equipped with M109.

 

1991 - 1992

Germany: Mansergh Bks, Gutersloh with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109.

 

1993

Germany: Mansergh Bks, Gutersloh with 16, 17 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with M109. Apr retitled 26th Regiment Royal Artillery.  127 & 55 Headquarters Bty's joined the Regt from the disbanded 49 Regt RA.

 

1994 -

Germany: Mansergh Bks, Gutersloh with 16, 17, 55/HQ, 127 and 159 Fld Btys, equipped with AS90.
