1948

Wales: ? Bks, Rhyl with 20, 57 and 71 HAA Btys. 16 Oct reduced to cadre and RHQ, 20, 57 and 71 Btys concurrently reformed from personnel of RHQ 88th HAA Regt and 253, 254 and 258 HAA Btys respectively. Moved to Harrington Bks Liverpool?

England: Saighton Camp, Chester or Woolwich? 20, 57 and 71 HAA Btys. 1 May RHQ and Btys reduced to cadre at Chester. 15 July reformed at Redford Infantry Bks, Edinburgh as 21st Medium Regiment (20, 57 and 71 Btys) from personnel of 60th Medium Regt RA (100, 224 and 228 Btys respectively), equipped with 5.5" Howitzer.

 

1956

Scotland: Redford Infantry Bks, Edinburgh. July moved to Stroumbi & Eastend Camps, Paphos District, Cyprus with 20, 57 and 71 Med Btys, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer.

 

1957

Cyprus: Stroumbi & Eastend Camps, Paphos District with 20, 57 and 71 Med Btys, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer. July returned to Redford Cavalry Bks, Edinburgh.

 

1958

Scotland: Redford Cavalry Bks, Edinburgh with 20, 57 and 71 Med Btys, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer. 17 Feb 71 Bty placed in suspended animation (disbanded 1/1/62) and 7 Bty joined the Regt ex 15th Med Regt RA.

 

1959

Scotland: Redford Cavalry Bks, Edinburgh with 7, 20 and 57 Med Btys, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer. Moved to Bradbury Lines, Hereford.

 

1960

England: Bradbury Lines, Hereford with 7, 20 and 57 Med Btys, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer. Dec moved to Kimnel Park Camp, Rhyl.

 

1961

Wales: Kimnel Park Camp, Rhyl with 7, 20 and 57 Med Btys, equipped with 5.5" Howitzer. 31 Oct 20 Bty placed in suspended animation (later in 95 Cdo Regt RA). 30 Nov 7 Bty placed in suspended animation (later in 95 Cdo Regt RA).

 

1962

Wales: Kimnel Park Camp, Rhyl. Jan moved to St Barbara's Bks, Fallingbostel and redesignated 21st Locating Regt RA with 57 Med Bty. Jan 14 Bty joined the Regt ex 94 Regt RA. 14 (Coles Kop) Battery equipped for Meteorology and Survey, and 57 (Bhurtpore) Battery equipped with Drone and Robert systems.

 

1963

Germany: St Barbara's Bks, Fallingbostel. 14 (Meteorology and Survey) and 57 (equipped with Drone and Robert systems) Btys.

 

1964

Germany: St Barbara's Bks, Fallingbostel, 14 (Meteorology and Survey) and 57 (equipped with Drone and Robert systems) Btys. 29 Apr 57 Bty moved to 94 Regt.15 Jun RHQ and 14 Bty placed into suspended animation.  (14 Bty later in 16th Lt AD Regt RA).
