1947 | Artillery School, Deolali – the RA Depot of India. 1 April RHQ 28th Field Regiment Royal Artillery was re-titled RHQ 14th Field Regiment RA, with 1, 5 and 13 Fld Btys redesignated from 1 Fld Bty, 5 Bty of 5/57 Fld Bty and 3 Fld Bty respectively. 21 April moved from Deolali to Karachi. 27 Oct embarked on the SS Orbita at Karachi. 17 Nov arrived in Liverpool, proceeded to No 4 AFV Depot Cambridge where all ranks were paid up and proceeded on disembarkation leave. |
